The absence of color like the absence of content (white space) underlines the adage that sometimes less is often profoundly more. In this photo we see composition tension behind the free play of the young boy. The odd juxtaposition does not disrupt the timeless notion of water play. Black and white in this shot does not seem to darken the mood.
